I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. There I specialized in illustration and 2D media. After earning my Master's Degree in Art Education, I took some time to focus on my teaching but am now devoting my free time to pursue creating my own authentic work

My work is heavily influenced by my love of the natural world. Plants, animals, insects, whether portraits, studies, or whimsical in theme, that is my main inspiration. Recently, I have begun to explore more abstract concepts involving emotional states. It is a bit of a drastic departure from my normal comfort zone, but I am trusting the process.

In the last few years I have started to branch out and experiment more with ideas and materials. My constant materials are colored pencils and acrylic, but I love working with black and white drawing materials as well as collage and mixed media. I've also branched into fiber arts which has allowed me to create in an entirely different way.
